A questionnaire is circulating via the Jackson Middle School website asking parents for feedback concerning a possible name change.
According to the post, located on the Principal’s Message board, the name change conversation was spurred by a request from a Jackson alum.
The survey consists of just a few questions:
- Do you reside within the boundaries of Orange County, FL?
- What is your connection to Orange County Public Schools?
- Do you believe that Stonewall Jackson Middle should be renamed?
- If the school is renamed, which of the following options do you prefer? “Jackson Middle” or a new name.
- Describe your reasons.
- What name would you recommend?
