Fire Chief, Jim White, has announced that he will be retiring after 35 years of fire service, 25 of which were spent with Winter Park.

Chief White’s accomplishments while working for Winter Park include developing the City’s first Office of Emergency Management, Improving the City’s ISO Public Fire Protection Classification from Class 4 to Class 1, and transitioning patient transport care from a third party service to an in-house one.

White will retire at the end of May, 2018.

The City of Winter Park has requested that residents email Chief White with their well wishes prior to his retirement at [email protected].
