The One Pulse Foundation has announced that they will begin building their temporary memorial as early as February 26, 2018.

We announced HERE in October that the local non-profit had filed plans for the interim memorial on the site of the Pulse shootings. New design elements include enhancing the existing Pulse sign, lighting, interactive walls, and more.

New fencing will be placed around the perimeter of the nightclub, which will remain in place until designs for the permanent memorial and museum have been created.

The One Pulse Foundation will work with the Orange County Regional History Center to collect and archive all memorial items currently at the site. Families and survivors have been invited to retrieve any items or personal messages that they have at the site. All items will be collected by Sunday, February 25.

Work is expected to last 60 days.
