UPDATE: According to Rollins College the suspect was never armed while on campus.
A late afternoon car chase in Casselberry ended with a suspect being apprehended in Winter Park around 4 p.m. Monday afternoon.
An unnamed suspect allegedly fled from Casselberry Police Department after stealing televisions from the Casselberry Walmart only to be arrested on the Rollins College campus after attempting to steal a car.
The suspect was armed and caused the college to issue an Active Shooter Alert at 3:33 p.m. to all those on campus.
The suspect was intercepted, reportedly outside the Keene Hall academic building near the Knowles Memorial Chapel with no shots having been fired.
