Baseball player dies overnight on Rollins campus


The following statement was issued in an email to Rollins faculty concerning the sudden death of Rollins College student, Brennan Roye Bennett:

“Late last night, we lost a member of the Rollins family. Brennan Bennett, a transfer student from Furman, had been at Rollins for two years. He was a Physics major who was a member of the JV baseball team. We respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time, and I share their grief. We are offering a space for those who wish to come together tonight at 6 p.m. in the Galloway room. Counselors and pastoral care will be available.” – President cornwell

Rollins College has a number of support services available 24-hours-a-day for student and College community members:

  • For after-hours support, please call 833-848-1761 to speak to a counselor.
  • During the day, please contact the Wellness Center at 407-628-6340 for an appointment.
  • Wellness Center walk-in hours are from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • To use the services of the Employee Assistance Program, call 877-398-5816.
