UPDATE: Lake Alert for Lake Lawsona LIFTED

The City of Orlando Stormwater Division has issued a Lake Alert for Lake Lawsona.

A possible sewer overflow, caused by a blockage in a sanitary line, at the corner of north Mills Avenue and East Central Boulevard has forced the City to issue the alert as a simple precaution.

City Water Reclamation staff has already cleaned and removed the blockage and will monitoring bacteria levels in the lake until they fall within acceptable numbers. All water contact activities should cease during that time.

Call the Lake Alert number, 407.246.2220, for the most up-to-date information regarding your lake. During weekdays, the City’s Lake Alert website, www.cityoforlando.net/lakealert will also have the latest information.
