As we revealed HERE in December, 2017, Venue 578, formerly Firestone, has been undergoing extensive renovations as it slowly becomes a new concept called Vanguard.

The renovations are part of a campus-wide rehab of three separate venues that include the historic Firestone building, and the already-opened Odd Jobs and Blackstar.

The following plans were submitted on April 4, 2018 and share proposed alterations for the North Orange Avenue-facing venue, including the relocation of existing metal screens and a new exterior balcony.

The building, located  578 N. Orange Avenue [GMap], was once the home of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and was designated as an Orlando landmark in 1982. This designation means the owners will need to jump through a few extra hoops to prove the building will remain mostly intact in order to move forward.
