The City is offering free trees to Orlando residents via their One Person, One Tree initiative, presented in partnership with Arbor Day’s Energy Saving Trees Program and funding from OUC and the Florida Forest Service.
Residents can get up to two free trees per household during the spring planting season.
Tree species being given away this year include Live Oak, Tulip Poplar, Bald Cypress, Chickasaw Plum, and Yaupon Holly.
Since the program started in 2015, the City has given away 6,700 trees.

Editor’s Note: We get this question every year. Take a look at your street sign to check if you’re eligible. City residents have an icon on their street signs in the image of the Linton E. Allen Memorial Fountain on Lake Eola. Easy cheat if you’re new to town.
