David Porter, owner of SunRailRiders.com, recently published an interview with SunRail Commission Chairwoman, Viviana Janer.

The topic of discussion, was about the possibility of connecting SunRail to the airport, and why it’s so important to do so. As well as why we don’t have a concrete answer to whether it will ever happen; bureaucracy.

State funding for SunRail will cease in three years.

  1. Thanks Mr. O’Connor for bringing this topic up to her. I never knew that they didn’t have the direct funding source set up as of yet. 2021 is right around the corner. If they can get a funding source in place then set up the Sunrail to get to the airport it would certainly be able to pay for itself. That would be phase 3 and then Phase 4 should be getting to the attractions. Money would be pouring into a commuter rail running from the attractions to the airport, I seriously can’t believe our city can’t make that happen and see the benefit it would add to our city.
