MegaCon Orlando 2018
MEGACON Orlando is the South East’s largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event, attracting over 100,000 fans each year across four big days. Movieola – “Zootopia”
Bring the family to Lake Eola Park the last Friday of each month through August for a free movie, games, and food available for purchase. This month, we will be showing Disney’s Zootopia.
Storytellers XVII: West of the East Coast Tracks – Opening
Please join us for the opening reception of STORYTELLERS XVII: WEST OF THE EAST COAST TRACKS New Smyrna Beach teens give us insight into their changing world. Teens document their historic African-American community in wWestNew Symrna Beach through a programming partnership by Crealdé School of Art and the Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum in New Symrna Beach.
Hip-Hop at Orlando Fringe: NIKO IS, E-Turn, S.Shakespeare, DJ CUB
Every year during the Orlando Fringe Festival Hip-Hop takes over The FREE Outdoor Stage for a night of Beats, Rhymes & Vibes. Friday, May 25th catch Sets from NIKO IS, E-Turn, Sean Shakespeare Music, and jump in be part of a Cypher with DJ CUB, who will also be kicking the night off with Hip-Hop classics. All Performances are FREE, No Fringe Button or Ticket Required.

The Silver Meteor Experience – Urban Sketching On Location
Making its way from Miami FL to Penn Station in NYC the shiny Silver Meteor will slow down to a full stop at the Amtrak Orlando Station at about 1:21 pm Saturday, May 26th. On 1:35 pm it will turn up the Engine again and will head up north to the Big Apple. We will be there to capture into our sketchbooks the moments, the huss and bustle inside the Amtrak station when the train arrives and depart.
Divine Feminine Zine Release

Curated and created by Nikki Morse, this zine is a collection of photos, words, and drawings that emulate the experience of being a twenty-something. Orlando Carnival Downtown Orlando Carnival 2018
Orlando Carnival celebrates 31 Years of Carnival on May 27th, 2018. The Original Orlando Carnival Association will host the 31st annual Orlando Carnival. The Carnival will be held in Downtown Orlando on Sunday, May 27th starting at noon. Carnival is a family-friendly festival filled with pageantry and a weekend of parties will celebrate the culture of the Caribbean.

Southern Fried Sunday returns to The Orlando Fringe Festival for 2018 on Sunday, May 27th in Loch Haven Park, with 10 Bands Under the Big Tent on The Outdoor Stage! This is a FREE Event. ALL Ages are Welcome. There will be BBQ & Food Vendors, Fringe Beer Tent & Booze Bar on site.
Southeast Sister Cities Reading Tour – Jax visits Orlando
The concept is simple. Our writers read in your town. Then your writers read in our town. Everybody wins! Jacksonville writers reading in Orlando are Sohrab Homi Fracis, Tim Gilmore, Laura Hoffman, Matt Lany, Andres Rojas, and Nikesha Elise Williams. Orlando writers hosting and reading are Shawn Welcome and Tod Caviness. Doors at 7. Free and open to the public. (Donations for the venue accepted). Bring a bottle of wine or some bites to share, please.
