Edit: We originally posted that move date would be this summer, which is impossible. The expected move-in date for the new building is summer, 2019.

Rumors around SunTrust (Website) intending to move out of their current home started popping up back in April, centering around a plan to move into the under-construction Church Street Plaza development; which is being erected behind the Orchid Garden alongside the train tracks.

It’s now official, SunTrust will be the tower’s new keystone tenant and has leased up to 90,000 SF of office in the building, which will now be named the “SunTrust Plaza at Church Street Station.” They are expected to move in at the end of next summer.

The bank will be moving out of their current home at the 30-year-old SunTrust Center, Orlando’s tallest building, thereby opening up the largest collection of Class-A office space that the Central Business District has seen in years.

Other tenants of the new building include a 180-room Marriott hotel and a new coworking space we wrote about in April, HERE.

You can read more about the 28-story, mixed-use tower project HERE.
