Work began last October to transform a segment of Winter Park’s Denning Drive into a two-lane road with a new multi-use trail that would run parallel, to the east.
The new 10-foot-wide multi-use trail, which is already completed, now runs from Mead Botanical Garden to Webster Avenue.
The City of Winter Park has now entered the third phase of the project, which calls for the closure of Denning Drive, between Morse Boulevard and Canton Avenue, beginning on Wednesday, July 11. The closure is expected to last for two weeks while work crews complete final curbing, landscaped islands, and sidewalks.
Local residents will still be allowed to access their properties, according to a release from the City of Winter Park.
