The City of Orlando is hosting a workshop to discuss a study that is currently underway to analyze the current transportation network in both the Milk and Mills 50 Districts and make them safer for pedestrians, residents, and drivers.

The study area runs along Mills Avenue from Lake Formosa to East Concord Street and along Colonial Drive between Summerlin and Fern Creek. It also includes from Rosedale Road to East South Street and the area between Bumby and Crystal Lake Drive.

The workshop will share the proposed improvements for both the Milk and Mills 50 Main Street Districts from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 at the Colonialtown Neighborhood Center, located at 1517 Lake Highland Drive [GMap]. OR scroll down to see what was posted on the City’s website.

Suggestions include additional crosswalks, roundabouts, medians, and protected signal phases.

We first wrote about the study HERE this past December.
