Parramore-based Black Bee Honey (Facebook | Website) was just featured on Steve, a syndicated daytime show hosted by Steve Harvey.

Black Bee Honey is owned and operated by youth in the Parramore Kid Zone, in a partnership with the City of Orlando, via a program that teaches children how to run their own business. They purchase the honey from Dadant & Sons (Website) in High Springs, then jar it in the Dr. J.B. Callahan Neighborhood Center in Parramore.

As a result of their stint on Harvey’s show, Black Bee Honey’s product is now featured on igourmet.com and is available nationally. The site purchased 2,000 jars for their first order.

You can buy Black Bee Honey from the students, in person, at the Parramore Farmers Market.
