Plans have been submitted by Highwoods Properties, Inc., to renovate the exterior of the Eola Park Centre office building at 200 E. Robinson Street [GMap] in Downtown Orlando.

The subject site is bounded on the north side by East Robinson, Lake Eola to the south and east, and North Rosalind Avenue to the west. The paperwork was filed for a request for a Major Certificate of Appearance Approval to carry out renovations of the site and matching streetwall on their parking garage site.

Other features of the renovation include pavilions, new plaza space, as well as updated landscaping and signage. As part of the project, Highwoods is providing an additional easement that would be used for a future cycle track and enlarged sidewalk in a proposed re-design of East Robinson Street which is visible in a photo below.

The rendering also shows a demarcation of the on-street pedestrian pathway, a green two-way bike lane and what appears to be a dark green area reserved for on-street parking, leaving two traffic lanes remaining.

This plan was marked for approval at the July 19 Appearance Review Board meeting.

  1. Brendan – Do you have any updates about when this project will be completed? Residents of The VUE at Lake Eola have had a front row seat to this dumpster-fire of a construction job for what seems like forever. The 13-story Radius tower has been built in less time than this renovation. Looking forward to a time when we can sit on our balconies and not be covered in dirt and debris from this project. Thanks!
