The Orange County Regional History Center (Website) and the Wells’ Built Museum of African American History and Culture (Website) have launched a cooperative $10 joint ticket program that launched in July.

The new partnership is a result of a $5,000 award from the United Arts of Central Florida and Duke Energy. An added benefit of the grant is that the Wells’ Built Museum will now be able to open on the second weekend of each month.

Both museums are only a mile apart from one another but sit on opposite sides of a racial divide that has existed since segregation. Visitors can now purchase a ticket at either museum and then travel between them on the free Grapefruit LYMMO bus. The ticket does not need to be redeemed on the same day.
