We often get photographs and tips from our Bungalower readers of things that are happening around town, so we have started featuring them on the site in a series called Eyes on the Street, in honor of our favorite urbanist Jane Jacobs.

The photo above was submitted by Jon Busdeker though, co-host of our Real Radio show, “Bungalower and the Bus.” But we like to give credit where credit is due. Holler at Jon Busdeker.

Last December we shared that Church Street Entertainment had taken over the North Quarter Tavern and bar Room properties – more on that HERE. Construction is finally underway and the two sister spaces are ramping up fairly quickly, complete with a new window deco in the former Bar Room space.

According to their website, Bitters and Bottles Cocktail Lounge (Website) is “in the home stretch” and opening very soon. The former North Quarter Tavern space will be the home of the new venue, City Pub, which seems to have more work to be done.

Bitters and Bottles is located at 861 N. Orange Avenue [GMap].

We will share more details once they have been made public.

  1. Look at this complete rip off of an already locally owned cocktail establishment in Sanford called Bitters and Brass. Not only is Bitters and Bottles a cocktail bar in California, but also uses the same logo type as the ALREADY established bar Bitters and Brass. What is wrong with this town and it’s lack of creativity, or should I say particular enterprises?
