The City of Winter Park announced on their Twitter channel late last week that they would be closing the Dinky Dock park as a result of poor water quality.
The popular beachfront park and boat ramp, tucked behind Rollins College on Ollie Avenue, was closed for the weekend due to elevated bacterial levels. It will be retested on Monday, August 20 after which residents will be notified if the ban will be lifted or left in place for a bit longer.
