UPDATE: The design was completed by Borrelli and Partners and includes plans for five new buildings on the facility grounds, including an education center, visitor area, animal care area, food prep building, and an administration building.

Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge (Website) is a local organization that has been caring for wild animals for the past 27 years; serving to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured and orphaned Florida-natives.

Construction of a dedicated community center and expansion of the 20-acre wildlife refuge is expected to begin in the summer of 2019.

A community celebration will be held on Friday, September 7 at 10 a.m. at the Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge, located at 10525 Clapp Simms Duda Road [GMap].
