Florida Hospital has launched an initiative around Lake Eola to call attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and their Pink Out Initiative, which is placing hundreds of pink lawn flamingos around Lake Eola Park, and a pink Swan Boat. The boat, one of eight swan boats, represents the one in eight women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Proceeds from Pink Out provide funding for mammogram screenings and additional testing for roughly 9,000 uninsured women since its launch in 2010.
