This week’s episode was hosted at Jon’s house because we were so tired after iDignity’s Souper Douper we couldn’t deal with drinking in public.

Tune in to Bungalower and the Bus every week on 104.1 Real Radio or our podcast to learn all about the top headlines, new restaurants, and best-bet events to attend this week.

  1. Hi Brendan 😊 First, thanks for reporting on our neighborhoods the way you do. It’s helpful and really gives a sense that the downtown is a living breathing thing growing and changing.
So my question is about South downtown. I live at Michigan and Mills but I am under the impression that the 1/2 mile from Orange is enough to put me in the suburbs….!!…. so where does South downtown begin and end; and is it changing? Right now it seems like Target is the only landmark; which is kind of concerning.
    Your thoughts.

Ps: when you mention your radio broadcast above you don’t mention the time. When is it?

    1. Hi there Cecilia! You can find out more about SoDo’s district boundaries here on their website – http://www.sododistrict.org/ or there’s a great map here – http://teacherpress.ocps.net/hilights/2016/12/13/downtown-south-rebranded-sodo-district/

SoDo really just refers to the Main Street program which is focused on retail and small businesses so even if you’re not in the Main Street, you’re still considered Downtown. No worries! The MS boundaries basically run from Lake Lucerne to just past Pineloch and from Division Avenue to Osceola.

Our radio show, “Bungalower and the Bus” airs every Friday at 9 p.m. on Real Radio 104.1 and I have a segment every Friday at 4:20 p.m. on the Colbert Show. I’m also on Fox 35’s “Good Day Extra” every Monday morning 🙂 Tons of ways to plug in!
