Stir Restaurant and Bar (Facebook | Website) has closed.

Blake Levison, co-owner of the Ivanhoe Village eatery told Bungalower that the difficult decision to close was made following the announcement that the building would be listed for sale this past weekend.

The ownership team – Dallas Cowboys lineman Kadeem Edwards and Levison – decided to close for business for Monday and Tuesday to take a moment to reflect on whether they would either renovate the building or choose to close. They, unfortunately, chose the latter.

Stir Restaurant moved into the former home of Nova Scratch Kitchen on the corner of Virginia Drive and Orange Avenue, this past February. Prior to Nova both Brian’s Restaurant and the short-lived Elliot’s Public House attempted to make a go of it there.

The 3,700+ SF restaurant space is located at 1407 N. Orange Avenue [Gmap] and is zoned MY 2/T/P. It currently has 155 seats and is SRX license approved with no COP required for a full bar. It has 29 parking spaces with two city lots within walking distance across Orange Avenue and is just across the railroad tracks from the new mixed-use development project, The Yard at Ivanhoe Village.

It is fully-equipped and features an outside patio.
