UPDATE – October 22, 2018-Lake Alert for Clear Lake LIFTED

A lake alert has been issued for Clear Lake due to possible elevated fecal coliform counts due to a sanitary sewer overflow.

Heavy grease deposits in a gravity line led to a 250-gallon sewage overflow on Carter Street, just west of South Orange Blossom Trail.

City crews have posted warning signs at the Barker Park Boat Ramp and Fishing Pier and will be taking bacteria samples at locations along the canal system and at the lake to measure the impact of the spill.

The City is advising that all water contact activities should cease until further notice.

Please continue to call the Lake Alert number, 407.246.2220, for the most up-to-date information regarding your lake.
