As of Friday, October 19, Pearson’s Cafe (Facebook Website) has closed their North Quarter storefront, located at 807 N. Orange Avenue [GMap].

The cafe, an extension of their 15+ year business Pearson’s Catering, was known for their gourmet sandwiches and pastries and had only been in business for just over two years. We covered the opening HERE in 2016.

The reason behind the closure, according to posters in the shuttered shop windows, is said to be to “transition to an expanded catering line.”

A new tenant has not been announced and the building owner, Craig Ustler of Ustler Develoment Inc., told Bungalower that he is on the lookout for another local and like-minded restaurant that would be a “good fit for the neighborhood.” Other Ustler-spurred restaurants in the neighborhood include Reyes Mezcaleria and the soon-to-open CityPub in the former North Quarter Tavern space. More on that development HERE.
