Orange County government officials will host a Citizen Planner Academy workshop called “Planning Basics” on Saturday, January 19.
The workshop will explain the process behind local land development like how they decide where to build parks and schools and apartment complexes. The workshop uses fun role-playing exercises and the Orange County’s Interactive Map tool.
This is a free event that is open to the public but seats are limited so register HERE as soon as you can.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the Orange County’s Internal Operation Center 1, located at 450 E. South Street [GMap].
Future workshops include “Sustainability,” “Code Enforcement,” “Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design,” and “Emergency Management.”
