This four-bedroom, three bath home was built in 1906 and once belonged to Mahlon Gore, the thirteenth mayor of Orlando.

Mayor Gore served in office from 1893 to 1896 and was born in Climax, Michigan. He moved to Orlando around 1880 and purchased the Orange County Reporter newspaper before being elected to Orlando City Council and helped to found the First Unitarian Church of Orlando.

Mayor Gore died in 1916 at the age of 79 and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery.

His former home, located at 60 Waverly Place [GMap] on Lake Copeland, was originally located on Lucerne Circle but was moved in 1910 and has been painstakingly restored with modern and energy-efficient appliances.

It features high ceilings, original built-ins, and millwork throughout the home. Updated kitchen features include wood cabinets and stainless-steel appliances.

The asking price for this 3,168 SF historic home is $699,000.
