This Miss Orlando, Miss City Beautiful, and Outstanding Teen scholarship pageant (Website) returns on Saturday, January 19 at 7 p.m. at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

The pageant, which began in 1933, is an official program of the Miss America Organization, and awards more than $10,000 to a different winner each year to “provide the region’s brightest women the platform to expand their societal impact and promote physical health.”

All contestants must be in the process of earning or have already earned college degrees to participate.

This year’s pageant will be emceed by Joshua Vickery and Mary Thompson Hunt and is produced in association with the Downtown Arts District and Central Florida Community Arts.
