Clandestino Orlando (Facebook | Website) is a new cocktail lounge that has opened in the former home Rock Room in Downtown Orlando, that can only be accessed via an alleyway. Which is fitting as clandestino means “clandestine” in Spanish.
Editor’s Note: It’s also an awesome song by Shakira.
Located in the alley behind the UCF Executive Development Center, a former crematorium, Clandestino has retained the red canopied stairway and added a laser-cut sign to the wall to mark the entrance.
The actual address is 41 W. Church Street [GMap] but again, don’t look for the entrance on the main thoroughfare. You’ll need to suck in your gut and strut around the back of the building in order to partake.
Clandestino is open 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m.-2 a.m. on Sundays.
