The historic Angebilt building was purchased by Novel Coworking LLC. on January 3, 2019.
The Chicago-based coworking company paid The New Angebilt Corp. a reported $13,700,000 for the 100,323 SF former hotel turned office tower. Novel Coworking (Website), once Level Office, is renting offices with 24/7 access, furniture, direct fiber internet and WiFi, an espresso bar, local craft beers on tap, and community lounge spaces for all members.
Rent starts at $499/month for one to two people to $1,775/month for seven to eight people for private offices and $99/month for coworking memberships.
We wrote HERE in November 2018 that the building was for sale and potentially to a co-working company though that still remained to be confirmed at the time.
The Angebilt Hotel, located at 37 N. Orange Avenue [GMap], opened in 1923 and was at one time the city’s tallest building topping out at 11 stories with 250 rooms. A roof-top sky deck provided unobstructed views of Lake Eola and Downtown Orlando but the top floor was destroyed by a hurricane in the 40s.
