That taco restaurant coming to the Milk District we told you about HERE in November is now in soft opening.

MX Taco (Facebook | Website) has moved into the Arepas and More space, located at 207 N. Bumby Avenue [GMap].

The new fast-casual taco shop by chef Ryan Manning specializes in simple ingredients that focus on flavor like pork confit, achiote-roasted pork, bitter orange-marinated shrimp, or steak with pumpkin seed and tomato pesto. See a sample of the shifting menu below.

MX Taco is in soft opening through January 11 and open 4-8 p.m. this week, with updated hours to follow.

  1. I’m not sure what happened, but MX Taco was dark last night, Wednesday at about 6 PM. Their website is now in ‘maintenance mode” where it used to have their menu. I hope they are still going to open — the tacos were amazing.
