Plans have been filed to build a new 19-story mixed-use tower in Downtown Orlando anchored by a 256-room luxury hotel.

The hopeful new hotel would be a Radisson Blu (Website) brand which they describe as “upper upper scale” with a “yes I can” service philosophy. This, if approved, would be one of the first Blue hotels in the country, following Chicago and Minneapolis.

The site in question includes 319 N. Magnolia Avenue [GMap] and the surrounding lots, just south of Skyhouse.

Besides the hotel piece, other features would include 5,000 SF +/-  ground floor retail and 40 new multi-family residential units. The hotel would also include a ballroom and meeting spaces. Parking is planned to be accommodated in a neighboring private parking garage, located at 305 N. Palmetto Avenue [GMap].
