Edgewood, Florida, while some may call it Orlando, is really its own City, with a population of roughly 2,500+ people. So as we continue with this #bringtoorlando piece, please bear in mind, we just want this business to move Downtown so we can write about it without leaving our strict coverage area of Orlando’s bungalow neighborhoods.

By the end of 2019, Edgewood will be getting a dog park, with a bar.

Boozehounds Dog Bar (FacebookWebsite) is a new off-leash dog park with a built-in bar serving cold beer. Just-released renderings reveal a quasi-bucolic wonderland of sun shades, shipping containers, and big screen televisions with sports ball playing and rustic wood finishings. Scroll down to see for yourself.

According to the website, access will be based on memberships which vary from $10 day passes to $149 per year; with extra fees for extra dogs. Current rules of engagement include updated vaccinations (for pets), no dogs under 4-months of age, all dogs must be spayed or neutered if over 8-months of age and all dogs must be friendly and social around people and other dogs.

Humans have their own rules too and the entire property is for people aged 16 and up. Owners assume all responsibility and liability for their dog’s behavior, so keep them away from our beer. Or else. And owners must clean up after their dog(s).

Any violation of the park rules or if your pets display aggressive behavior could mean your removal and suspension from this Garden of Peed-on.

The owners, Paul Jaszczenski and Laini Pekich, are native Floridians and graduates of UCF.

Boozehounds Dog Bar will be located at 5501 S. Orange Avenue, Edgewood [GMap].
