Emily Rankin, the owner of local eatery, Florida and Co. (Website), announced at the 10-year anniversary of the Audubon Park Farmers Market that she would soon be updating her East End Market concept.

Taking the place of the popular ingredient-first restaurant/bar will be Bird of Paradise (Instagram), which will showcase more “bright, tropical flavors” but still a selection of healthful foods using local and organic ingredients whenever possible.

Editor’s Note: Which Rankin assures is “almost always.”

The menu is gluten-free, low-glycemic, vegan, vegetarian, grain-free, paleo, keto and dairy-free, but filled with flavor and lots of energizing nutrients.

Birds of Paradise will also add a new beverage program that will feature some mocktails as well.

The remodel is expected to be completed by early March.
