The Petrakises have sold Swine and Sons to the long-time operators, Rhys and Lexie Gawlak.

Lexie Gawlak told Bungalower that they will be moving out of their long-time home that shares a parking lot with Ravenous Pig in Winter Park to just across the street to The Local Butcher and Market space at 669 N Orange Avenue [GMap].

The Gawlaks were considering leaving Winter Park because of the increase in demand for their catering business but when they discovered a 9-foot hood and equipment not being utilized in the Market they had to jump at the chance to stay in the neighborhood.

The move puts them in the same building as the Da Kine Poke creating a new mini food hall.

The purchase, which is still in the closing stages, will allow the Gawlaks to keep the Swine and Sons name. They will be closing this Sunday for the move and then are hoping to soft-open as early as March 2. Catering orders are still available through their website.

A dentist will be moving into the old space.
