Indie convenience store, Eola General (Facebook | Instagram), is now open for business.

The shop, which opened in the former home of the Handy Pantry at 522 E. Amelia Street [GMap], will temporarily close on Mondays and Tuesdays as they ease into their flow as the hot ticket in the Lake Eola Heights neighborhood.

The store soft-opened over the weekend and was immediately swamped with neighbors and looky-loos with their dogs trying to reclaim their turf on the popular corner.

The space offers a growing assortment of local dry and cold goods including goodies curated by La Femme due Fromage, wines by Matt Uva of Quantum Leap Winery, food by Grain and Ember and Dixie Dharma, and beverages by Juice Bar and Wavelength Coffee.

In the coming weeks the shop will add brunch options and more.

They are currently hiring for all positions, including management.

Menu subject to change.
