The City of Winter Park Planning and Community Development Department will host two public meetings to discuss potential redevelopment of the “Orange Avenue District” which apparently runs from Fairbanks Avenue to just west of U.S. Highway 17-92.

The public is invited to attend the following meetings:

  • Public Input Meeting – 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at the Winter Park Community Center, 721 W. New England Avenue [GMap].
  • Stakeholder Input Meeting – 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Winter Park Welcome Center, 151 W. Lyman Avenue [GMap].

The 2016 Vision Winter Park plan called for making the Orange Avenue corridor more pedestrian-friendly. The City of Winter Park is looking to see if its residents would like to see a blend of retail, residential, commercial, and/or office use in the area; namely mixed-use like in Hannibal Square versus single-use zoning.
