The new owners, Ramon and Veronica Llado, are entrepreneurs from Spain and Ecuador, respectively. They reportedly own multiple businesses in Ecuador but this will be their first restaurant venture in the United States.
So far their main priority has been to hire and train their new team and their first big hire was to bring back Melina Salazar, the chef who opened and ran the space until 2016. In fact, Salazar created the very same menu they have been using for the past three years.
Salazar has already been rolling out new items in a retooled menu that launched this week with more to come.
They also hired a new Leven 2 WSET graduate, Brittney Coutts, to run the wine side of things. Coutts is currently studying Microbiology, as well as independently studying for her Certified Wine Specialist exam later this year.
