The City of Orlando is still trying to show a little leg in an effort to host the 2026 World Cup.

In 2018, it’s estimated that 3.572 billion people were watching; that’s more than half of the global population of humans over the age of four. For added context, it’s esimated that the most-watched Super Bowl game ever was the 2015 game between the Patriots and the Seahawks which drew about 150 million people worldwide.

An organizing committee of over 300 local leaders has already been assembled to strategize a pitch promoting Central Florida as the best choice for the 23rd Cup, which would ideally be hosted in the Camping World Stadium; which can seat 65,000 people.

A list of 23 potential host cities and venues will be trimmed down to 16 finalists in 2020.
