A community meeting will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4 to discuss the conceptual designs for the Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center.

We told you HERE in July 2018 that the currently vacant Grand Avenue School at 800 Grand Street [GMap] would be transformed into a new home for the Downtown Recreation Center programming; which includes the Orlando Pottery Studio, the Parramore Kidz Zone, the Parramore Kidz Zone Baby Institute, Page 15, and the After-School All-Stars.

The community meeting is an opportunity for residents to ask questions and give feedback on the new designs before anything is written in stone and the project progresses to construction.

The meeting will be held at the Holden Heights Community Center at 1201 20th Street [GMap].
