A request for final approval has been submitted for a minor plat called Cedarwood Orlando at 924 Sligh Boulevard [GMap], just south of Downtown Orlando.
The applicant is proposing to place a self-storage development on the 0.99-acre property, which staff has claimed is consistent with the current Master Plan for the area. The parcel is a pie slice of land sandwiched between the railway and Sligh Boulevard.
A final design for the project has not been released at this time but current paperwork calls for a six-story structure measuring at roughly 116,640 SF.
This project is recommended for approval at the April 22 City Council meeting.
