The College Park Main Street was awarded a Mayor’s Matching Grant to help them replace $9,000 worth of benches along the Edgewater Drive corridor.
The current benches, though some may call them “rustic” … if they had poor taste, were one leg in the grave.
The $5,000 grant will allow for the removal and replacement of five benches along Edgewater Drive.
Ivanhoe Village was awarded $2,500 in the same grant cycle to paint three more utility boxes in their district. A total of $58500 was awarded to nine organizations in the last grant cycle.
