Orlando-based startup, AireHealth (Website) has won a $100,000 investment package from Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund during the pitch competitions local stop this Monday, April 29.

The D.C. investment firm, founded by Steve Case, the co-founder of AOL and CEO of Revolution, chose the healthcare management startup due to its potential to “… positively impact 100 million people in the US who live with respiratory illness through a more proactive approach and patient engagement” by creating a portable nebulizer that could revolutionize patient care and drug delivery.

AireHealth recently won the Crummer Rollins Venture Plan Competition as well.

The Rise of the Rest team and competition judges spend the day visiting local companies like Edukate, Fattmerchant, Starter Studio, and Luminar Technologies.

Revolution’s bus tour has visited 38 cities and traveled more than 10,000 miles to audit startup ecosystems that are frequently overlooked by Silicon Valley investors, along with a $150 million fund to back early-stage companies outside of the coastal tech hubs. The fund is currently invested in more than 115 companies across the U.S.
