La Belle (Facebook | Website), formerly known as LaBelle Furs, has been in business since 1919 and in honor of their approaching 100th Year Anniversary, will be hosting a 50-percent off sale to prep for an overdue remodel of the storefront.
The store is the largest full-service furrier in the state and has been run by four generations of the LaBellman family. It started as a tailor shop but fur was added post-WWII.
La Belle today specializes in new sales, restyling old furs, and on-site cold storage to preserve local private fur collections.
We told you last year that Art LaBellman, the previous owner of the shop, located at 351 N. Orange Avenue [GMap] would be retiring and passing it on to his son Alex and his wife, Santa.
The sale will include 50 percent off all in-stock inventory that includes jackets, coats, capes and wraps, vests, leathers, cashmere, accessories, handbags, and home items and will end on June 30.
Store hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.
The remodel will include new paint, artwork, flooring, and displays with a new “fresh, modern look with white and gold as the main color scheme.”
