We told you about locally-grown film company, Strong Films (Website) and their documentary on the first racially-integrated little league game in the South HERE last April.

In 1955, the all-black Pensacola Jaycees played against the all-white Orlando Kiwanis at Lake Lorna Doone, roughly 63 years ago. Up until that point, white youth baseball teams had refused to play any African-American teams, and at the time it was all anyone could talk about.

Long Time Coming A 1955 Baseball Story interviews the surviving members of the baseball teams alongside professional baseball greats and Civil Rights champions like Hank Aaron, Andrew Young, Cal Ripken, Jr., Gary Sheffield, and Davey Johnson.

We just learned that the film will be screened on Netflix.

You can watch the film on Netflix HERE.
