The newly renovated Downtown Information Center is open for business.

Now operating under the name “Discover Downtown,” the center has doubled in size and now features new merchandise from local vendors like Swan City and Orlando Shirts, a 30-foot high mural by Boy Kong, an interactive coloring map mural by Anna Cruz, and more.

We told you about the fancification of the Information Center HERE in June 2018 where the original plan featured a long list of retail partners. We expect the current store to be fluffed up and stocked in the next few months. The store is cashless and City employees get a 20 percent discount on merch.

The Center is located at 201 S. Orange Avenue [GMap] and will serve as the home for organizations like the Downtown Partnership and the Church Street Main Street.

An official grand opening is being scheduled for June 2019.
