Dr. Phillips Charities has announced the designer for the new food hall under development in the upcoming The Packing District in west College Park; Dap Design.

If that name sounds familiar its because they’ve been responsible for other well-designed projects in town like the new Barton Malow Company headquarters, the upcoming Slice by Pizza Bruno concept, and Whippoorwill Craft Beer House.

The new 22,400 SF food hall will be shoehorned into the old Great Southern Box Company building, on the southeast corner of Princeton and Orange Blossom Trail and is meant to be an anchor for a part of The Packing District project that will also include a micro-brewery, private event space, and a restaurant.

The building was built in the 1930s and served as an orange crate manufacturing facility.

Also visible in the plans, included below, is a multi-tiered public plaza with a mix of hardscape and softscape for maximum outdoor dining goodness.
