SPONSORED: Our editor, Brendan O’Connor, recently had a chance to sit with Michael Perkins, the Executive Director of the Orange County Regional History Center (Website) to record the following bonus episode of “Bungalower and The Bus” which you can listen to below.

The interview includes Perkin’s candid takes on upcoming events, development projects, and more – including information on the Center’s approaching auction of some unique items like a custom-made Orange Bird, life-sized manatee sculptures, giant mosquitoes and more.

The Center was recently recognized as one of ten recipients of the 2019 National Medal for Museum and Library Service by the Institute of Museum and Library Services – which is basically an Emmy, but for museums and libraries. It’s rare to have one such institutions in the same city and we have two (counting the Orange County Public Library System).
