In advance of President Trump’s pending visit, scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, the City of Orlando has provided a transportation briefing regarding the potential impact on downtown traffic.

The City of Orlando is working with federal, state, and local partners on a detailed traffic management plan, the community should plan for the significant traffic impacts of the Presidential event which will take place at the Amway Center that morning.

The City of Orlando is encouraging anyone who may be traveling in or out of downtown on June 18 to budget additional travel time in anticipation of traffic delays.

At this time, it is expected the roadways in the immediate area surrounding the Amway Center in downtown Orlando will be impacted that day, including:

  • Central Boulevard
  • Anderson Street
  • South Street
  • Garland Avenue
  • Division Avenue

Specific event road closures, including any decisions regarding necessary traffic changes on I-4, will be determined by the U.S. Secret Service, not the City of Orlando.  Additional road closures may be implemented on the event day as needed.

We will share more information once we have it.
