EJI Historical Marker Unveiling Ceremony honoring July Perry

Join us on June 21st at the Orange County Regional History Center for the unveiling of a historical marker in honor of #JulyPerry who was lynched on November 3, 1920. His murder spurred the onset of the #OcoeeMassacre, known as one of the bloodiest days in American history. Perry was an African American leader in Orange County’s African American communities and was targeted for his influence as a prominent businessman, landowner, and advocate of African American voting rights.
