Sideward Brewing (Facebook | Website) will release a special canned beer that encourages “shotgunning,” just in time for Fourth of July.
The “Gunner” is a house-made canned lager with a label that shows you where to puncture the can if you’re looking to jump into the party with a splash. Shotgunning a beer is simply the act of making a hole in the side of a beer can, opening the tab on top, and consuming the beer at a high rate of speed. Sideward will host a Gunner Can Release party on Saturday, June 29 from noon-midnight.
This is a limited release and will definitely sell out so get there early.
